Job summary

Carollo Engineers, a leading water-focused engineering firm, seeks a mid-level Water/Wastewater Engineer in the Atlanta area. You will perform planning, design, and construction support for water and wastewater facilities, working with clients across municipalities and utilities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering, 6–12 years of relevant experience, and Georgia PE eligibility (or ability to obtain within six months).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental or related Engineering.
• 6 to 12 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team.
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.
• Work on engineering planning and design projects.
• Prepare reports and develop plans and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
• Engage in system modeling and permitting analyses.
• Prepare technical memoranda and deliverables.
• Conduct field activities including pilot testing.
• Provide engineering services during construction.

Responsibilities

• Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
• Work on engineering planning and design projects
• Prepare reports
• Develop plans and specifications
• Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
• System modeling
• Permitting and alternative analysis
• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
• Data entry and analysis
• Provide engineering services during construction
• Participate in field activities such as pilot testing
• Experience as a project manager or deputy project manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental or related Engineering
• 6 to 12 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia or the ability to obtain within six months
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Work well in a team environment
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Compensation Range

An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
