Carollo Engineers, a leading water-focused engineering firm, seeks a mid-level civil engineer to contribute to municipal water and wastewater projects across planning, design, and construction phases. You will work on plant expansions, regional studies, and water reuse initiatives, collaborating with seasoned professionals to deliver sustainable solutions.

The role requires a PE license, 6–12 years’ experience, and proficiency with Microstation or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering
• 6–12 years of experience in the field
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
• Experience with water and wastewater facilities and related systems
• Design and construction phase experience for large projects
• Broad civil engineering knowledge and related specialties
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Experience with Microstation or AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Work on municipal water and wastewater treatment projects and major plant expansions
• Perform engineering work across water and wastewater infrastructure
• Prepare designs, reports, plans, specs, and cost estimates
• Check conformity with plans via field inspection and testing
• Assist with technical memoranda, reports, and deliverables

Responsibilities

• Work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world
• Performing engineering work in various engineering fields (water and wastewater treatment infrastructure to include pipelines and pump stations, engineering services, construction management)
• Work on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects, permitting and alternative analysis
• Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing
• Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
• Data entry and analysis, participate in field activities such as site investigations, and pilot testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering
• 6-12 years of experience
• Registration as a Professional Engineer
• Experience working with water and wastewater facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, reclaimed water master plans/studies, pipeline rehabilitation projects, pump stations, and reservoirs
• Demonstrated ability and experience in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large sized infrastructure projects
• Broad knowledge of precedents in civil engineering and a good knowledge of related specialties
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Experience with Microstation or AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering

Compensation Range

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
