E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Transmission Line Engineer in California to design overhead transmission lines from 69 kV to 500 kV. You will work under the Transmission Engineering Manager, performing detailed line design and coordinating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering
• 3–7 years of experience in transmission line design
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD required; experience with PLS-POLE and/or PLS-TOWER preferred
• Working knowledge of NESC and applicable utility standards
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progress

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of overhead transmission lines, including structure spotting and profile development
• Execute and review line design using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER
• Perform sag-tension analysis and clearance calculations for safety and compliance
• Coordinate with structural engineers on pole/tower loading and design inputs
• Prepare engineering packages, drawings, and material lists
• Interface with clients, survey teams, environmental teams, and other stakeholders
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements
