Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer to join the Chinook Program supporting an Intelligence Community customer. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and execute test strategies across multiple Agile sprints, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing software releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field; 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
• 6+ years of software testing or quality engineering experience.
• Experience with Agile software development programs.
• Experience creating and executing manual and automated test plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies across multiple Agile sprints.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases for new and existing capabilities.
• Collaborate daily with software engineers, product managers, system engineers, and Scrum Masters to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate application performance, reliability, security, and usability.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
• Analyze test results, communicate risks, and provide recommendations that improve software quality.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance Agile team effectiveness.
