Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join the Chinook Program, delivering high-quality software for mission-critical applications. You will lead test planning, design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will develop automated and manual test cases, collaborate with developers and stakeholders, and support CI/CD pipelines within DevSecOps. US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field with 8–12 years of relevant experience (or Master's with 6–10 years).
• 8+ years of software testing or quality engineering experience.
• Experience testing enterprise applications throughout the SDLC.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Experience developing automated test solutions.
• Knowledge of functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies.
• Develop and maintain automated and manual test cases for web-based and enterprise applications.
• Partner with software developers, systems engineers, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing into DevSecOps workflows.
• Champion testing best practices across the team.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements that enhance software quality and program success.
