Our safety professionals specialize in fall protection, focusing on innovative and effective solutions to protect workers through engineering, safety protocols, procedures, and training.

Position: Mid-level Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Mid-level Structural Engineer to analyze, design, and lead fall protection projects, including the development of structural components and systems.

Annual Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience, certifications, and regional standards.

Essential Functions

• Document existing conditions to support fall protection system additions, such as fixed platforms and anchorages.
• Analyze building components supporting fall protection systems, including steel framing and concrete.
• Develop layouts for fall protection systems aligned with client needs and existing structures.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations and assist in creating construction documents.
• Coordinate with design staff to ensure accurate documentation and drawings.
• Communicate with clients regarding project issues and attend meetings as needed.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training, seminars, and professional publications.

Additional Responsibilities

• Travel as required to various U.S. locations.
• Work independently and collaboratively.
• Understand and train in OSHA/ANSI fall protection standards.
• Pass background checks, drug tests, and MVR checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, architectural, or mechanical engineering with a structural focus; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as OSHA 1926 and ANSI Z359.

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in structural engineering and fall protection design.
• Proficiency with CAD (Revit, Bluebeam) and structural analysis software like RAM.
• Excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work on construction sites in various weather conditions, climbing and reaching as necessary.
• Meet weight capacity requirements for fall protection systems (130-310 lbs).
• Lift up to 50 pounds and understand construction site hazards.
