POSITION SUMMARY

Accountability for system, market, and facility level clinical performance improvement initiatives. Works with system, market, and local leadership to deliver performance improvement expertise to advance success with Quality, Safety, and Reliability improvement opportunities.Works under the direction of the Director of Reliability to identify opportunities to implement improvement initiatives to advance system-wide care outcomes.Under the direction of the Director of Reliability, ensures that patient-centric, highly reliable care is delivered in a culture of safety.

This position is fully remote and must reside in the Continental US. The role can have up to 10% travel

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for identifying the priorities and tactical actions for system clinical performance improvement
  • Responsible for spread and sustainability of the system’s performance improvement capabilities
  • Identifies opportunity for innovation/improvement across verticals
  • Works collaboratively across verticals to ensure Quality, Safety and High Reliability tactics are built into KPIs
  • Responsible for advancing opportunities to standardize workflows and improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Accountable for the integrity of performance improvement outcomes, ensuring spread and sustainability
  • Oversight for tracking/trending/monitoring of outcomes attributed to the Performance Improvement initiatives
  • Other duties or assignments as required by leadership team


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licensing/Certification

  • Performance improvement certification (Lean, etc.) within one year of hire preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Certified Professional in Patient Safety preferred.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse preferred.

Education

  • 4 year/ Bachelors Degree required in Healthcare-related discipline (i.e., nursing, health administration) or Engineering

Work Experience

  • Five (5) years of proven experience developing, facilitating and sustaining performance improvement initiatives and activities.
  • Demonstrated success utilizing project management and process improvement tools & techniques to lead cross-functional or large scale initiatives is required.
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistical process control information systems.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite and analytical and/or statistical software packages is required.
  • Demonstrated success in a matrixed organization balancing and achieving multiple goals is required.

Working Conditions

Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

Long-distance or air travel as needed- not to exceed 10% travel.

May have periods of constant interruptions.

Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.

Prolonged periods of working alone.

Skills:

Ability to interpret and implement processes aligned with the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement

Skilled in synchronous and asynchronous learning and collaboration technology platforms (i.e., Zoom, Workday, etc.).

Proficiency with MS Office suite [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat software]
