Job summary

Mu-Del Electronics in Manassas, VA is seeking a mid-level to senior RF Engineer with PCB layout experience to design RF schematics and BOMs and lay out PCBs for prototyping and production.

You will collaborate with software and mechanical engineers, create BOMs in MRP/ERP, and test with RF equipment such as network analyzers and oscilloscopes. On-site position with background check.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in E.E., 5+ years of related work, and US citizenship or green card.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional experience in schematic design and PCB layout using Altium.
• Experience with RF/microwave test equipment and RF tuning is a plus.
• Ability to work from rough sketches with guidance.
• Experience creating BOMs in MRP/ERP systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• U.S. citizen or green card holder; ability to pass background check.

Job Description

Position Overview: Mu-Del Electronics is looking to hire a Mid-level or Senior RF Engineer with PCB layout experience. They will work with software and mechanical engineers by generating RF schematics/BOMs and layout out the PCB to be sent out for build.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional experience with demonstrated work performance in schematic design and PCB layout design using Altium
• High degree of ingenuity and skilled in design, prototyping and testing
• Ability to work from rough sketches and oral instructions, often with only tentative guidance available
• Working knowledge on creating BOMs in a MRP/ERP system
• Knowledge of proper use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope, data acquisition equipment, thermocouples and power supplies for testing and evaluation of electronic circuitry a plus
• Knowledge or experience of RF and microwave test equipment including Network Analyzers and spectrum analysis, Noise Figure is a plus; familiarity with RF tuning and filter testing is a plus
• Knowledge/experience with electronic components and PCB design, preferably RF
• Knowledge or experience with RF design simulation techniques and tools a plus
• Willingness to learn and become an effective team member
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; exceptional time management skills
• Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening; great interpersonal skills.
