Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and NY admission in good standing.
• 2-4 years of NY litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice.
• Strong analytical and oral advocacy skills and formal writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Claim investigation with clients and non-parties to address discovery matters.
• Identify suitable medical experts for retention and consultation.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties and non-parties.
• Apply CPLR discovery rules and oversee compliance.
• Learn anatomy to evaluate medical causation and interact with medical professionals.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and ADR/Med costs.
• Regularly appear in court and conferences.
• Drive resolution goals and execute strategies.
