Job summary

BlackSea Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Field Engineer to lead field engineering activities for GARC systems deployed in fleet environments. You will ensure readiness, perform testing, documentation, and configuration control across overseas deployments lasting 90–120 days with 30 days CONUS between cycles.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in engineering support, system integration, field engineering, test operations, or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, electrical or mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
• Ability and willingness to deploy overseas for 90–120 days at a time, with ~30 days in CONUS; U.S. citizen and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Field Engineering Support: provide field tech leadership to sustain system readiness and mission effectiveness.
• Integration & Testing: lead harbor, shoreline, and on-water system integration and validation.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose complex issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Engineering Change Proposals: implement and document upgrades with configuration control.
• Operational Deployment: deploy globally up to 75% to support fleet operations and demonstrations.
• Documentation: produce technical docs, test logs, and field reports for stakeholders.
• Launch & Recovery: oversee safe launch, recovery, and mission execution in maritime environments.
• Configuration & Asset Management: maintain baselines and asset tracking records.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: work with engineers, operators, logistics, and manufacturing.
