Job summary

ZGF Architects in New York City is seeking a dynamic Mid-Level Interior Architect / Designer. The candidate should have 5–10 years of interiors experience, strong communication, and technical skills, plus proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.

This is a hands-on role focused on commercial interiors with supervision of junior staff and opportunities across project phases.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of related interiors experience.
• Excellent team communication, design presentation and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Rhino, Sketch-Up, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated competency in programming and space planning.
• Furniture specification experience preferred.
• Experience with complex multi-phased higher education, healthcare and/or corporate workplace projects is desired.
• NCIDQ certification and/or architectural licensure strongly preferred.
• LEED, WELL and/or FITWEL accreditation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and collaboratively towards design solutions.
• Assist in developing design and technical solutions for projects in all phases from concepts through construction administration.
• Perform design assignments with general direction and guidance.
• Produce design drawings, presentation drawings and digital models in support of design teams.
• Research products and materials, review existing projects and those under construction to inform the production of design documentation.
• Contribute to general office-wide initiatives and marketing efforts.
• Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges.
• Help foster relationships with clients and consultants with team leaders.
• Assist with the supervision and mentorship of junior staff.
