Job summary

Chenega MIOS in Washington, DC is seeking a Mid-level Help Desk Support Technician to provide technical, operational, and training support for PC desktop hardware and software. You will install and test PCs, printers, and peripherals, configure operating systems, and load software while coordinating repairs and escalations.

Ideal candidates have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or a high school diploma with 5+ years of experience, 3+ years in a mid-level role, and IT certifications

  • IT Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.
  • Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, operational, and training support to PC users by telephone or on-site.
  • Install and test PCs, printers, and peripherals; configure OS and load software.
  • Troubleshoot computer problems; perform hardware/software diagnostics; coordinate repairs and NAS/LAN coordination.
  • Assist in evaluating system configurations and software; participate in other duties as assigned.

The

Mid-level Help Desk Support Technician
  • Perform technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages.
  • Install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals, configure the operating system, and load shrink-wrap programs, and other application software programs.
  • Troubleshoot computer problems, perform hardware and software diagnostics, coordinate needed repairs, resolve computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network, and participate in the evaluation of system configuration and software.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree (preferred) from an accredited institution OR
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and an additional 5+ years of experience can be substituted for a degree.
  • Mid-level with 3+ years of experience.
  • IT Certifications: CompTIA Certification A+, Network+, or Security+
  • Secret clearance
