Job summary

Chenega MIOS in Arlington, VA is seeking a Mid Configuration Management Specialist to support system development and program delivery. You will maintain configuration control processes and manage baselines across projects.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in CS or engineering, 4+ years in configuration management, experience with DoD or federal customers, and an active Secret clearance. On-site work five days a week is required.

The Mid Configuration Management Specialist manages configuration control processes supporting system development and program delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain configuration control processes.
  • Manage version control and system baselines.
  • Support change management processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of configuration management experience.
  • Experience supporting federal or DoD customers.
  • Active Secret security clearance required (or higher).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting DoD, CDAO, or federal system development programs utilizing configuration management, change control, release management, and lifecycle governance processes.
  • Experience with configuration management and version control tools such as Git, GitLab, GitHub Enterprise, Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms, and certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Security+, or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
