Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level full stack software engineer to support an Intelligence Community customer. You will design, develop, and deploy software solutions across UI and backend, using modern tools in an Agile environment.

The role involves building microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native apps with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, while collaborating with mission users and product managers to deliver secure, high-quality capabilities.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4–8 years of experience, or Master’s with 2–6 years of experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to pass a Polygraph.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JSON, REST APIs.
• Proficiency with Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Go is a plus.
• Frontend and backend frameworks include React, Angular, Vue.js, Spring Boot, Django, Node.js, Flask, or Svelte.
• Cloud development with AWS, Azure, or similar.
• Relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server.
• Git for version control; familiar with CI/CD (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Secure coding practices and government accreditation processes (RMF, STIGs).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and agile tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Familiarity with multi-clouds and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch; geospatial tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that support GEOINT missions.
• Participate in agile sprints, stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Build and maintain secure, containerized apps using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Develop RESTful APIs and UIs with React, Node.js, Flask, or Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with mission users and product managers to refine requirements.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines and ensure security/compliance.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Address tasks prioritized by the product owner.
