Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Mid-level Front End Developer to join our team. The role covers front-end design, development, and UI optimizations, with emphasis on user-centric interfaces and agile practices.

The position is remote with a Secret clearance requirement and opportunities to work on cloud and containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker, Jira, Jenkins, and GitLab in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance or higher required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field; master's may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 7 years of software development experience in OO and scripting languages.
• Experience documenting tests to verify operability and standards compliance.
• 3 years of Jira experience.
• 3 years of testing web-based applications.
• 3 years in software development programs or projects.
• 3 years' experience with TypeScript in Angular or React.
• Cloud environment development experience.
• Containerized environments like Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.
• 5 years with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years with at least five of the listed tools: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent front-end design and development.
• Experience with agile, user-centric UI/UX design and wireframes/mockups using UX tools.

Responsibilities

• Create technical design drawings, mockups and wireframes for review.
• Plan and implement GUI modifications and develop UI elements.
• Optimize navigation and user-facing features for ease of use.
• Develop functional architectures and supporting procedures.
• Collaborate with PMO and stakeholders to define requirements and tests.

Job description

Maximus is seeking a Mid-level Front End Developer to join our team! The Mid-level Front End Developer provides subject matter proficiency for work described in the task. Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties. Requires expertise in specialty area.

Shall perform engineering tasks for front-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to, creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and other associated documentation for PMO and stakeholder review, planning and implementing modifications to Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs), constructing and optimizing various UI elements, optimizing system navigation practices and elements, and facilitating operator ease of use for user-facing feature development.

This role is remote and requires an active Secret clearance.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

• Secret clearance or higher required.

• A bachelor's degree in related field required. A master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.

• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with the ability to apply several tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices and containers.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests and results to verify system operability and compliance with project standards and requirements.

• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (Jira).

• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.

• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.

• 3 years' experience utilizing typescripts in angular or react.

• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.

• Practical experience developing in containerized environments like Kubernetes or Docker.

• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.

• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.

• 5 years of experience with at least five (5) of the following:

• NPM

• 3 years of recent and relevant experience performing front-end web design and development.

• Demonstrated experience engaging in agile, user-centric application design, ensuring best-of-breed UI/UX standards.

• Demonstrated experience in generating system wireframes, mockups, etc. considering multiple user personas.

• Demonstrated experience in utilizing UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience using Agile Test Driven development

• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments

• DevSecOps experience with at least five (5) of the following Build tools:

• GitLab

• Jenkins
