Insight Global is seeking an installation technician to join an intelligent building solutions company with 40+ years of experience helping customers improve building efficiency.

Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, and optimizing systems with Direct Digital Control tech, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering turnkey projects. The role requires strong TCP/IP/networking knowledge and WebCTRL proficiency, with an emphasis on client satisfaction and on-site training.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center, BAS, or HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networks and wireless tech.
• Proficiency in installing and configuring building automation controls.

Essential Job Functions

• Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology
• Mentor and develop less experienced Field Engineers on all field tools and technology
• Serve as local contact for technical issues
• Offer effective solutions for complex system issues
• Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects
• Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly, to include controls, sensors, and software
• Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports
• Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction
• Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer
• Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system

Skills and Requirements

• -High School Diploma/GED
• -3-5 years of experience in Data Center, BAS, or HVAC
• -Previous experience around HVAC controls or BAS
• -Multimeter
• -Valid Driver's License
• -Bachelors, Associates, or Certifications in the field
• -Expert with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology
• -Proficient with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
