Jobot is hiring a Permanent Senior Estimator to join our growing team in Palm Beach County. You will lead the estimating process, develop competitive bids, and manage costs from procurement through project completion.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction estimation, experience with large projects, and strong collaboration with project managers and stakeholders. Excellent communication and cost-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an estimator in construction with a track record of accurate, competitive estimates.
• Knowledge of cost estimation processes and tools; ability to lead estimation for large projects.
• Experience with project bidding; history of winning bids.
• Strong cost management to keep projects within budget while maintaining quality.
• Experience with procurement in construction and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to develop detailed, realistic project plans and schedules.
• Knowledge of value engineering applications in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction docs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; cross-functional collaboration.

We are seeking a Permanent Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is a crucial part of our operations, responsible for leading the estimating process, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and playing a key role in project planning and procurement.

Responsibilities:

1. Leading the cost estimation process for construction projects, ensuring that all cost considerations are accurately and comprehensively accounted for.
2. Participating in project bidding, developing competitive and accurate bids that align with our company's strategic objectives.
3. Managing cost throughout the project lifecycle, identifying opportunities for cost savings and ensuring that projects stay within budget.
4. Overseeing procurement processes, ensuring that materials and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner.
5. Developing detailed project estimates, using your deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and market trends.
6. Assisting with project planning, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to develop realistic, achievable project plans.
7. Applying value engineering principles to optimize project cost, quality, and scheduling.
8. Reading and interpreting blueprints, ensuring that all project estimates reflect the project's design and scope.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a proven track record of accurate, competitive estimating.
2. Extensive knowledge of cost estimation processes and tools, with the ability to lead the estimation process for large, complex projects.
3. Experience with project bidding, with a history of developing winning bids.
4. Strong cost management skills, with the ability to keep projects within budget while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
5. Experience with procurement in the construction industry, with the ability to negotiate favorable terms and manage suppliers effectively.
6. Proficiency in project estimation and planning, with the ability to develop detailed, realistic project plans.
7. Knowledge of value engineering principles and their application in the construction industry.
8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, with a deep understanding of construction processes and materials.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
10. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
