The role focuses on reliable delivery, operational excellence, and scalable architectures across enterprise networks. The incumbent will drive modern monitoring, observability, and automation efforts, partnering with security, cloud, and IT teams to ensure uninterrupted mission delivery.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive enterprise network engineering and operations experience including people leadership.
• Strong hands-on and architectural knowledge of Cisco routing/switching across campus, data center, and WAN.
• Cisco (CCNP/CCIE) or equivalent depth; Palo Alto (PCNSE/PCSAE) or higher certification.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops the general Network Engineering team responsible for enterprise routing and switching, cloud networking, network security, visibility, and monitoring platforms.
• Owns overall operational delivery, service health, and continuous improvement across the network domain; sets priorities and meets milestones and SLAs.
• Champions forward-thinking technology strategy; evaluates emerging networking, cloud, security, and observability technologies and drives adoption.
• Escalation point for complex technical issues; coordinates with senior engineers on architecture decisions and major incidents.
• Manages stakeholder relationships with customers and partners; participates in architecture discussions and change control forums.
• Drives capacity planning and investments in hardware, software, cloud, and tooling for network service delivery.
• Ensures documentation, runbooks, and audits are maintained; supports audit and compliance activities as needed.
• Promotes automation and infrastructure-as-code to reduce toil and improve reliability.
