Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Donor Relations Specialist to lead a Mid-Level donor relations program for the EPA/Delaware Division. You will develop plans to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward Mid-Level donors while coordinating with THQ marketing and direct mail efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or related work experience or specialized training in Fundraising Management.
• 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, management or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must be extremely organized and able to manage a busy schedule of stewardship activities in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as experience with donor tracking and/or database software required.
• Knowledge of CRM, Salesforce, software is preferable (otherwise must be trained).
• Must have very strong analytical skills, able to analyze data and develop targeted fundraising strategies to segmented groups based on research.
• Enthusiastic collaboration with multiple fundraisers and teammates is essential.
• Must have strong communications skills, willingness to travel regularly, and a valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle required.
• Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of a strong Mid-Level donor relations program for the EPA/Delaware Division with emphasis on areas served by Service Extension Units.
• Develop a comprehensive action plan to manage the Mid-Level donor portfolio to identify and qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.
• Coordinate with THQ direct mail and marketing program and database for a strategic plan of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for Mid-Level donors.
• Engage via strategic communications through all mediums and personalize outreach, including donor visits as needed.
• Determine appropriate Mid-Level donor fundraising and marketing strategies and work with leadership to meet fundraising objectives.
