Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Manassas, Virginia. The role offers an hourly wage of $28.00 with a 3:00 pm–11:30 pm second shift, Monday–Friday, weekends off, and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days.

Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance and diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks, with opportunities for bonuses and career advancement within a safety‑driven, state‑of‑the‑art workshop. Military veterans receive extra benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to clarify nature of the issue.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT and company compliance guidelines.
• Supports operations with auxiliary duties as needed.
