Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Richmond, VA to maintain heavy‑duty vehicles on a stable, benefits‑rich team.

The role offers a second shift, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, Monday–Friday with weekends off and comprehensive pay/bonus opportunities. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventive maintenance.
• Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience, preferred.
• Valid CDL CLASS A, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
