Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Des Moines, IA to keep heavy‑duty fleet vehicles on the road. This role offers a stable path, weekly pay and a strong benefits package.

In this position you will perform diagnostics, routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, with opportunities for certification bonuses, 401(k) matching and paid training. Second shift details included, and veterans receive additional support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification, preferred.
• Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
