Job summary

LaraBench is seeking a mid-level Laravel developer for a part-time remote 1099 contract to support an existing health and wellness coaching platform. You will own live production code, improve functionality, and contribute to new development, including AI-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of practical, professional experience with Laravel and PHP.
• We require strong MySQL expertise, including query tuning and database schema design.
• Experience with live production applications.
• Experience integrating APIs and third-party services.
• Familiarity with Git or a similar version control tool.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks.
• Experience using or connecting OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude, or another LLM-based solution.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and issue-resolution skills.
• Clear communication and consistent progress updates.
• Understanding of secure development practices.
• Comfort with improving an existing codebase over time.
• Preferred experience includes health, wellness, coaching, pharmacy, compliance-oriented, or data-sensitive applications.
• Preferred experience also includes AWS, server environments, or application deployment work.
• Preferred experience with Laravel queues, jobs, notifications, or scheduled tasks is a plus.
