Leoforce in Madisonville, KY is seeking a Cost Accountant with senior-level experience to oversee cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory control. You will manage the general ledger, perform variance analyses, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of cost accounting principles are essential.

The role requires collaboration across departments to improve processes and support strategic decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and GL management.
• Strong cost accounting principles and standards knowledge.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical and detail orientation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Good problem-solving and strategic thinking.

Responsabilités

• Manage all cost accounting procedures, including cost reports and audits.
• Maintain integrity of the cost accounting system with accurate data.
• Analyze process constraints, target costing, margin analysis and activity tracing.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting with finance for timely reporting.
• Manage general ledger and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Perform variance analysis and explain cost and margin variances.
• Oversee inventory valuation and minimize holding costs.
• Collaborate with departments to improve efficiency and meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with cost accounting standards and regulations.
• Provide financial guidance to other departments for performance monitoring.
