Job summary

CFS in Leominster, MA is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our hybrid team. This high-impact role partners with Accounting, Finance, and Operations to drive costing accuracy, inventory controls, and financial visibility across manufacturing operations.

You will own standard costing, analyze variances, support month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting, and identify cost-saving opportunities. A strong background in manufacturing costing and ERP systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficient with standard costing, inventory accounting, COGS, and variance analysis.
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own standard costing, inventory valuation, and COGS analysis.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, overhead, material usage, and production variances.
• Partner with Operations to evaluate production costs, profitability, and improvement opportunities.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, inventory reporting, and cost analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen costing accuracy and controls.
