Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative and highly motivated mid-Level Civil Engineer for our Denver, Colorado office to support mining projects. The role involves hydrologic & hydraulic modeling, drainage/civil design, and collaboration with staff on watershed analyses, stream restoration, reservoir/pond design, and erosion control.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and strong experience with HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or closely related field and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Professional Engineering License.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferred: 6+ years of relevant experience and strong hydrologic/hydraulic analysis background.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage/civil design for mining projects.
• Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and drawings using ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with agencies for permit preparation and ensure scope, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Prepare reports and calculation packages with proper documentation.
