Job summary

Midas Auto Experts is seeking an Intermediate Level Technician to join our full-service shop in New Jersey. The ideal candidate can work independently and collaborate with peers, contributing to a culture of success and quality service.

We value ASE-knowledge, solid mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read service manuals. A valid driver’s license is required, and a healthful, safety-conscious approach is expected in every job we perform.

Qualifications

• Must have fundamental automotive knowledge and be able to work independently or with peers.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals and work orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough visual safety and courtesy inspection.
• Test specific parts and systems to verify proper operation.
• Mounting, balancing and rotating tires.
• Replacing batteries and changing bulbs, belts and hoses.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems including brakes, belts, tires and water pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Handle more complex jobs with some assistance (diagnostics).
• Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs are proper.
• Maintain and clean shop areas and be willing to learn and grow.
