Job summary

Midas Auto Experts is seeking automotive technicians to diagnose and repair vehicles in a full-service shop in New Jersey. You will work independently when needed and collaboratively with peers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role involves diagnostics with advanced computer tools, brake and exhaust services, A/C, suspension, and regular maintenance. A valid driver’s license, own tools, and the ability to work with foreign and domestic vehicles are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also collaborating with peers
• Knowledge in brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics
• Track record of high personal productivity
• Adherence to safety and environmental standards in repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment like lifts, tire changers, alignment machines and scan tools
• State-specific auto repair certifications
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment and diagnostic scanner/tools preferred
• Ability to service both foreign and domestic vehicles

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tire repair and maintenance including tires and alignment
• Repair and service heating and cooling systems
• Brake systems diagnostics and repair
• Oil changes and routine maintenance
• Check engine light diagnostics and repair
• Mufflers and exhaust services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections
