Pacific Peninsula Architecture, Inc is a mid-size residential architecture firm located in downtown Menlo Park, CA. We specialize in high-end custom residential design for clients on the SF Peninsula as well as throughout California.

Local candidates only. Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). Compensation for this role is based upon experience, with annual compensation starting at $78K-$92K base plus full benefits package. This is a full-time in-office position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of residential architectural experience with construction detailing.
• Intermediate Revit/CAD knowledge; 2+ years in a professional setting.
• Experience with Enscape, 3ds Max, SketchUp is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentation drawings and models.
• Coordinate with internal team and consultants.
• Contribute to design discussions and generate ideas.
• Assist in completing construction documents on time and within budget.
• Revise drawings from markups and redlines.
• Attend client meetings to observe process and develop presentation skills.
• Participate in site visits to understand construction documents.
• Maintain clear note-taking, email and phone communication.
• Identify conflicts during construction and propose solutions.
• Pursue Architectural Licensing.

Mid-Level Architectural Draftsperson

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing presentation drawings and models.
• Involvement in coordination of internal team members and consultants.
• Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, and design.
• Work closely with team members and assist to complete construction documents by meeting deadlines within expected time and budget constraints.
• Generate revisions and corrections from outline mock-ups & redlined drawings,
• Attend client meetings to observe our process and develop presentation skills.
• Participate in construction site visits to better understand the construction documents process.
• Candidate to have strong verbal & written communication skills, including note taking, email, phone, etc.
• Recognize conflicts that arise during construction and offer alternatives to resolve these issues.
• Ideal candidate is on the track to Architectural Licensing.

Experience

• Bachelors degree in architecture (or equivalent) required
• 3-5 years residential architectural experience with construction detailing required
• Intermediate Revit/CAD knowledge required- using Revit/CAD for a minimum of two years in a professional setting
• Experience working in Enscape, 3D studio Max, SketchUp a plus
