Job summary

Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions, LLC in Washington, DC seeks a Mid-Level Accessibility (508) Developer to support government customers with front-end accessibility implementations and remediation across digital products. The role involves testing, collaboration with senior engineers, and ensuring compliant, inclusive interfaces.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on accessibility experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment with some onsite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of front-end development, web application support, accessibility testing, or digital quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience implementing or testing web accessibility requirements.
• DHS Trusted Tester, IAAP CPACC, or comparable accessibility training or certification.
• Experience supporting federal Section 508 remediation activities.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, Atlassian, or Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Develop and remediate user interfaces to meet Section 508, WCAG 2.x, and accessible coding expectations.
• Fix accessibility issues related to semantic structure, labels, keyboard operation, focus order, forms, tables, color contrast, and ARIA usage.
• Conduct accessibility checks using automated tools, manual keyboard testing, and assistive technology under senior guidance.
• Support accessibility defect triage, documentation, remediation verification, and release readiness reviews.
• Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, designers, and product owners to build accessibility into normal delivery practices.
• Support accessible document, dashboard, and platform workflow remediation where needed.
• Maintain clear notes, test results, and remediation evidence for compliance tracking.
