Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Mid Cloud Computing Application Architect at Warner Robins Air Force Base, GA. This onsite role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and debugging cloud solution components using AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code within a DevOps framework to modernize IT infrastructure.

You will collaborate with cloud architects and engineers, automate provisioning, and support mission objectives. AIP: U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying enterprise cloud-native solutions.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Bash command line.
• Experience provisioning cloud resources using infrastructure as code tools (Terraform or Vault).
• Knowledge of DNS, load balancing, and TLS networking concepts.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain IAT or IAM II/III certification before start date.

Mid Cloud Computing Application Architect

Role Overview

As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you will use enterprise cloud platforms to support clients in modernizing their IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. This role involves working within a DevOps framework to create and manage container applications and utilizing products like Kubernetes to advance mission objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and command-line interfaces, including Bash.
• Experience designing and automating the provisioning of cloud resources and infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform or Vault.
• Knowledge of network technologies, including DNS, load balancing, and TLS.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience developing and deploying enterprise cloud-native solutions, or a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience developing and deploying enterprise cloud-native solutions.
• Ability to obtain IAT or IAM II or III Certification prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
• Experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for GitLab CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
• Experience triaging and resolving issues for both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments.
• Experience with containerization tools.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience with Git or GitLab.
• Experience applying cloud security principles.
• Experience programming in Python and Java.
• AWS Certifications.
