Job summary

Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to support design and documentation for broad structural projects. You will help establish and apply company standards, run basic analyses, and contribute to drawings and BIM workflows.

Candidates should have a Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering degree, some internship or 0-2 years of experience, familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, SAP2000, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering (with a Structural focus) from an ABET accredited university.
• GPA 3.0 preferred.
• 0-2 years’ experience in Structural Design engineering in Industrial & Water.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, word processing and basic IT.
• Experience with BIM: Revit preferred, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Strong communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of designs for assigned structure(s), including analysis and drawing preparation.
• Apply department and industry standards when preparing calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Leverages BIM to create plans, drawings and details.
• Incorporate EPC, RFPs, and contractual requirements to meet project goals.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners across disciplines, vendors and owners.
• Support department managers in achieving performance goals.
