Imaging Business Machines, LLC. in Birmingham, AL seeks a mid-career FPGA Development Engineer to design, implement, and verify complex digital logic with Xilinx FPGAs using Vivado, delivering high-performance embedded solutions.

You will collaborate across firmware, hardware, and systems teams to optimize timing, power, and area, while creating test plans and verification reports. A strong RTL background and 5–7 years of FPGA experience are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of professional FPGA development experience.
• Strong experience with Xilinx FPGAs and Vivado.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and integrate FPGA logic using Xilinx devices and the Vivado Design Suite.
• Perform simulation, verification, and debugging using industry-standard tools (Vivado Simulator, ModelSim/Questa).
• Optimize designs for timing, resources, and power consumption.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and systems teams to define requirements.
• Create comprehensive design docs, test plans, and verification reports.
• Support bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting on real hardware platforms
