Job summary

Actalent is seeking an FPGA Engineer based in Warner Robins, GA, to design and develop advanced digital circuits and firmware. You will work on FPGAs, CPLDs, and related components, implementing VHDL-based firmware for Xilinx platforms and collaborating across hardware, software, and systems teams.

The role requires strong VHDL skills, experience with Xilinx Vivado, and a track record of delivering validated designs.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in electrical engineering with relevant experience.
• Strong FPGA and firmware skills with VHDL and Xilinx platforms.
• Experience in test benches and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop digital circuits and subsystems including FPGAs and CPLDs.
• Generate system requirements and select components based on reliability.
• Use modeling/simulation tools to accelerate firmware development.
• Implement and debug FPGA firmware using VHDL for Xilinx platforms.
• Interface firmware with software and hardware for integrated systems.
• Develop test benches to verify FPGA firmware functionality.
• Collaborate with hardware/software/systems teams to deliver solutions.
• Sustain and improve existing designs and mentor junior engineers.
