Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking an experienced sales consultant to drive wealth management product growth across the MidAtlantic territory. You will partner with advisors, field leaders and internal partners to expand awareness, adoption and sales of wealth management solutions.

You will travel within the territory to meet with advisors, deliver training, and represent Ameriprise at regional events. A strong consultative selling background and industry knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry in a sales-focused role with deep investment and wealth management product knowledge.
• Experience in a consultative sales environment with a track record of influencing outcomes and driving growth.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Series 7 license required upon hire.
• Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Active State IAR registration (S65 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Preferred: CFP, ChFC, CRPC, CEBS, RICP or similar credentials.

Responsibilities

• Drive territory sales by building relationships with new and existing advisors through meetings and events.
• Influence advisor product selection with a consultative approach aligned to client needs.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and leadership to execute territory plans and growth.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, communicating insights for strategy.
• Travel within the territory to engage advisors and represent Ameriprise at events.
• Utilize CRM and analytics to identify opportunities and improve selling effectiveness.
• Manage territory operations, scheduling, budgets, and follow-up processes.
