Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This full-time night shift position offers 3x12-hour shifts with a commitment-incentive bonus of $10,000–$20,000.

The MICU provides high-quality patient care in a supportive, collaborative environment. Minimum qualifications include NC RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within six months, and 1–2 years of IMCU/ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (NC RN) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• 1–2 years IMCU/ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Document medical necessity timely in the medical record.
• Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
