Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Medical Care Unit (IMCU) in Hickory, NC. This full-time role involves 12-hour night shifts with self-scheduling options and a focus on high-acuity patient care.

You will perform assessments, document care, develop care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while meeting licensure and certification requirements. A strong commitment to patient safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required (NC preferred).
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of Acute Hospital RN experience.
• One to two years IMCU/PCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents medical necessity in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Completes and revises Interdisciplinary Care Plans for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
