Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) MICU is a 29-bed unit delivering high-acuity care with ARDS, septic shock, liver failure, multi-organ failure, and more. This role supports critical care teams with bedside procedures, vasoactive drips, and life-support therapies, while maintaining a culture of accountability and teamwork.

The position requires RN licensure, completion of an accredited nursing program, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
