Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, develop and revise individualized care plans, monitor progress, and advocate for patients and families.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care knowledge and skills, including growth and development principles and equipment use.
• Lead and collaborate with team as preceptor, charge nurse, educator, or clinician; coordinate care and delegate duties.
• Model professionalism, uphold ethical and legal standards, and foster respectful relationships.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations and hospital policies.
• Pursue continuous learning, attend trainings, mentor staff and students, and work with leadership on growth needs.
• Participate in quality improvement, committees, and apply evidence-based practice to resolve issues.
• Ensure efficient use of supplies and maintain organized workspace; perform other duties as assigned.
