Job summary

Advocate Health Lake Norman MICU is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care team in Cornelius, NC. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week across three 12-hour night shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

You will apply the nursing process, monitor patients, coordinate care, document in the EHR, and participate in safety and quality initiatives. BLS and RN license are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities as needed.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and provides unbiased patient care.
