Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Assembler II to support mechanical box builds and hand soldering at our San Jose, CA facility, focusing on advanced microwave subsystems for missiles front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners and synthesized sources. The role requires at least 2 years of mechanical/solder assembly experience, ability to solder SMT and through-hole parts, and eligibility for U.S.

export compliance, with a path to security clearance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a mechanical/solder assembler in a production environment.
• Ability to use small hand tools such as tweezers and torque drivers and work under a microscope.
• Ability to solder small surface mount and through-hole parts; IPC 610 certification a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance; must be a U.S. Person per export laws.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical subsystems in a production environment to meet daily output goals.
• Manually solder surface mount and through-hole components and apply conformal coating after soldering.
• Follow production documentation and maintain detailed records of rework.
• Participate in daily production meetings.
