Job summary

SAM (Surveying And Mapping, LLC) in Warner Robins, GA seeks a MicroStation / ORD Technician to support utility design data processing, QC, and project deliverables. Reporting to a Sr.

Project Manager, you will ensure data accuracy and compliance with SAM standards while collaborating with project teams. Requirements include 1+ year MicroStation / ORD drafting experience, a degree in construction/engineering or related field, and proficiency in MicroStation/ORD.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in construction, engineering, computers, or drafting) or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of MicroStation / ORD drafting experience in utility engineering, utility mapping, utility coordination, or related fields. Previous experience working on GDOT projects
• Proficiency in MicroStation / ORD, or similar software for drafting
• Understanding of utility engineering principles
• Familiarity with survey data, geospatial information, and field-collected utility data is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy and compliance
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project managers and upper management
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Process utility design files from each utility involved with a project, maintain company standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDOT styles, formats and expectations
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure client-specific requirements and project deadlines are met
• Assist with quality control (QC) of client-specific deliverables to ensure accuracy and adherence to SAM standards
• Monitor / oversee multiple utility coordination projects, perform quality assurance, providing feedback as needed
• Conduct initial quality checks on Utility Design / Concepts to make sure all utilities have proper clearance to perform their work without conflict
• Perform other tasks as needed to support company strategic goals
