Job summary

Red River Computer Co. seeks a Design Engineer – Microsoft Solutions to support our sales organization by translating Microsoft technologies into practical business outcomes.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, shaping cloud adoption, security modernization, and AI strategies while engaging with technical and executive stakeholders. The role requires 5+ years in presales/solutions architecture, with strong Microsoft portfolios knowledge and proven proposal development skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, engineering, CS or business.
• 5+ years in presales engineering or similar customer-facing roles.
• Experience designing Microsoft-based solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, security, networking and modern workplace technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource supporting Microsoft-focused sales opportunities.
• Partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities.
• Conduct customer discovery sessions to understand objectives and requirements.
• Design and present Microsoft-based solutions aligned to customer needs.
• Develop solution architectures, proposals, and SOWs.
• Deliver executive briefings, presentations, demos, and workshops.
• Collaborate with Microsoft teams, partners, and internal leaders to position solutions.
• Support responses to RFPs/RFQs and other procurement activities.
• Assist customers in cloud adoption, security modernization, and AI strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of Microsoft portfolios and licensing programs.
