Job summary

FUSTIS LLC in the United States is seeking a Microsoft Purview Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead data governance, security, and compliance initiatives for FedRAMP and NIST 800-53. The ideal candidate will implement and manage Purview solutions in highly regulated environments.

You will configure sensitivity labels, retention, data classification, and reporting, and work with cybersecurity and IT teams to support audits and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview in enterprise environments.
• In-depth understanding of Purview capabilities: Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Data Classification, Data Discovery, Lifecycle Management, Retention policies.
• Experience mapping technical security controls to regulatory requirements (FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53).
• Experience supporting security assessments, audits, compliance documentation, and remediation activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SME for Microsoft Purview, guiding data governance, compliance, and information protection.
• Design, implement, and manage Purview solutions including DLP, Information Protection, and Data Governance.
• Configure sensitivity labels, retention policies, data classification, and protection policies across Microsoft 365.
• Ensure Purview configurations align with FedRAMP requirements and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• Map Purview capabilities to NIST 800-53 security and privacy controls.
• Support compliance assessments, audits, and evidence collection.
• Identify data security gaps and recommend remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud security, and IT teams to maintain data protection standards.
• Develop documentation and implementation guidelines for compliance.
