PlanIT Group is seeking a Microsoft Power BI Developer to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will join our team supporting a Federal Government customer in Rosslyn, VA. The candidate must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance – US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must not have traveled outside the US for a total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years. Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years consecutively.

Position Description
- Focus on business intelligence and reporting technologies/methodologies
- Identify data to clean, transform, and load into data models
- Create data models, establish relationships, and build complex measures
- Visualize data models through reports and dashboards
- Assist in delivering quality solutions using Microsoft BI tools (Power BI)
- Partner with customers and technical teams for requirements, design, and delivery
- Collaborate with team members including project managers, architects, and analysts
Position Requirements
- Implement solutions using Power BI and related technologies
- Proficient in DAX and M queries
- Experience with interactive dashboards and dataflows
- Designing composite models and applying RLS
- Experience with report building and paginated reports
- Leverage database systems like data warehouses and marts
- Develop scalable, high-performance solutions
- Communicate technical details effectively
- Perform data analysis to support information management systems
- Experience with data technologies such as SQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Author and oversee design documents
- Develop and publish reports, dashboards, and analytics
- Mentor team members and provide insights on emerging technologies
- Creative and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Minimum Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field OR a PL-300 certification
- 4+ years in business intelligence or information management
- 2+ years with data visualization and client-facing roles
- Expertise in ETL, data warehousing, data quality, and analytics concepts
Proficiency in Languages
- SQL, SAS, R, Python
- Must meet US citizenship or Green Card requirements and residency/travel restrictions
Desired Experience
- Government software development policies
- Integrating solutions with PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Dataverse
