Job summary

Heartland Technology Group is seeking a Microsoft Licensing Specialist II - On Premise. The role focuses on driving software and services revenue within the CSP licensing model through engagements with prospects, customers, and internal teams.

The candidate will analyze licensing requirements, create scenarios, and guide clients on licensing investments and compliance, while collaborating across departments to optimize licensing processes and program utilization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience communicating with business clients, independently or with teammates.
• Proven ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in a business setting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams; working knowledge of Excel formulas and charting.
• Maintain an outcome-focused mindset and strong prioritization skills.
• Always be a team player with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an intermediate understanding of on-premise licensing models and migration to cloud licensing.
• Act as customer-facing licensing specialist to analyze licensing requirements and provide guidance.
• Create licensing scenarios aligned with client business, ops, tech, and financial needs.
• Execute and sell licensing solutions, ensuring understanding of cost, benefits, and compliance.
• Collaborate with finance, sales and other departments to improve licensing processes for CSP and on-prem products.
• Deliver licensing services including RV Tools analysis, renewal management, and procurement & analysis of licensing statements.
• Present licensing topics to individuals and small groups across departments and roles.
• Maintain understanding of CSP model, pricing changes, policies, and promotions as it relates to on-prem licensing.
