Heartland Business Systems in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Microsoft Licensing Specialist II – On Premise to drive licensing revenue through CSP and on-prem offerings, engaging with prospects, customers, and internal sales teams. This role directly supports annual licensing growth goals.

It requires analyzing licensing requirements, guiding investments and compliance, and creating scenarios aligned with clients’ strategic, operational, technology, and financial needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams; working knowledge of Excel formulas and charting or similar productivity tools.
• 1+ years of network/technical computing experience (preferred).
• 1+ years of experience presenting data and prewritten PPT to clients (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Licensing programs/products (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain an intermediate understanding of on-premise licensing models (Open Volume, Perpetual CSP, EA) and migrations to cloud.
• Act as customer-facing licensing specialist to analyze requirements and guide clients on licensing models, investments, and compliance.
• Create licensing scenarios aligned with client business, operations, technology, and financial needs.
• Execute and sell licensing solutions, ensuring understanding of cost, benefits, and compliance.
• Partner with finance and sales to streamline presales, transactional, and deployment processes for Microsoft cloud and on-prem products.
• Deliver services related to on-premise licensing including RV Tools analysis, renewal management, licensing statements procurement & analysis.
• Present to individuals and groups on Microsoft licensing and HBS value propositions.
• Maintain understanding of CSP model changes and promotions as it relates to on-prem licensing.
• Manage lifecycle of Microsoft-funded engagements with cross-functional alignment to maximize program outcomes.
