THE ROLE

Avantiico is looking for a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&SCM Senior Technical Architect with expertise in the development and implementation of Dynamics 365 F&SCM to join our Delivery and Support team. While this is a leadership position, you will primarily be hands-on, allowing you to collaborate with some of the best technical Microsoft resources in the US, work on complex projects for Tier 1 customers primarily located in Southern California (San Diego, Los Angeles, Irvine), and global customers from Europe and Australia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical Leadership - The D365 F&SCM Senior Technical Architect is responsible for leading all technical consulting aspects of business applications and add-in solutions and apps covering different phases of projects with regards to implementation, development, upgrade, and support to our existing customers. You will develop and implement strategic technical solutions aligned with the clients' business objectives.
• Technical Expertise - Demonstrate deep expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, including configuration, installation, customization, ISV integrations, coding, testing, and support to existing and new features. Additionally, you will provide advice and support to clients regarding Microsoft licensing guidelines and compliance.
• Customer solutions and requirement gathering: you will participate in and assist the consultancy team with business process analysis, design and application consultancy tasks to understand how and when the D365 application should be customized to fit customer needs
• Configuration and Modifications: D365 development tasks and required customizations and configuration changes to the base application including creating and extending Dynamics Power platform, Azure, SSRS reports, Business Intelligence applications, complex integrations to external software/applications, and D365 Workflow solutions.
• Testing, debugging, maintenance and support: in your role you will also support customers during the application lifecycle, including applying service packs, hot fixes, customizations, and ISV solutions into customer sandbox and production environments. Advice on Microsoft and industry best practices for maintaining the application. This may extend to supporting and other supporting technologies, including SQL server performance and maintenance.
• Training and knowledge transfer to customers: assist with the identification of customer training needs, prepare, and deliver customer training classes.
• Client-Facing Engagement - you will be expected to participate and/or lead customer meetings and technical work sessions. You will interact directly with clients as a trusted advisor to understand their needs, present solutions, and build stronger client relationships, guiding clients through technical decisions. Additionally, prepare and participate in meetings with partners and relevant organizations interested in Avantiico services and solutions.
• Collaboration - you will work closely with Avantiico's Delivery and Support team and client staff, demonstrating initiative to drive development efforts for enhancements and maintenance of new solutions which solve business challenges facing the clients and industries we serve. Additionally, participate in and contribute to weekly technical meetings and reports.
• Continuous Learning - Stay updated on the features, capabilities, and updates of Microsoft Dynamics 365 business applications. Assist the Director of Architecture & Development with Microsoft product or ISV solution research and/or technical documentation review.

This is a full-time, work-from-home position. This job may require up to 25% travel when working remotely.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• At least six years of hands-on technical experience in Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance and Operations.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Information Technology
• Has a proven track record of providing technical consultancy and delivering complex, full life-cycle implementation, upgrade, extensibility, performance optimization, integration, data migration, security, and support of D365 F&SCM in a consultancy role
• Deep technical knowledge of Dynamics 365 F&SCM application stack and server architecture, web services, security, cloud, Life Cycle Services (LCS), DevOps, TFS source control, and GIT source control
• Experience with Visual Studio, X++ programming language, .NET, C#, Azure, AIF
• Strong knowledge of coding standards and methodologies
• Desire to learn and implement Microsoft Azure solutions
• Experience in business intelligence and reporting using Power BI, Power App, Flow, and Common Data Services (CDS)
• Experience in two or more functional areas in Finance, Supply Chain (T&L), Manufacturing, Professional Services, Service Management, Transportation, Talent, HR/Payroll, Analytics, Sales, Marketing, and others
• Current Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&SCM development and Azure certifications or the ability to obtain after joining within 90 days of employment
• Strong leadership, advisory and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to client stakeholders and all levels within the organization
• Passion for learning and developing technical and functional skills

Compensation for roles at Avantiico varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Avantiico provides a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position as 100,000-145,000 USD.
