Job summary

Avertium is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant for the Acceleration & Optimization team with a focus on Microsoft Cloud. You should be security focused with emphasis on Microsoft cloud infrastructure and applications, and you will develop and deliver reports, diagrams, and implementation/integration plans.

Subject matter expertise across multiple cloud platforms is required. You will work remotely within a team, lead architecture and integration projects, and provide cost-efficient security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, IT audit, or related role.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in network and system security concepts, including secure architecture design and/or secure coding practices.
• Project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to apply CIS, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, etc., in IT, Network, Cloud, and Enterprise Architecture.
• Experience across INFOSEC, Cybersecurity, Data Security, Network Security, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Security strategy development and alignment with client objectives and risk appetite.
• Design and implement advanced security controls and technologies.
• Security architecture design for cloud and on-prem environments.
• Lead and manage complex cybersecurity projects to meet scope, time, and budget.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships as trusted advisor.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and contribute to thought leadership.
