Job summary

Avertium is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant focused on Microsoft Cloud to join the Acceleration & Optimization team. You will develop and deliver reports and implementation plans, lead architecture and integration projects, and advise clients on security strategies for cloud environments.

You will work remotely within a team, applying best practices to deliver cost-effective, secure solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, and other cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, IT audit, or related roles with increasing responsibilities.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in network and system security concepts, including secure architecture design and secure coding practices.
• Project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to apply standards (CIS, NIST, PCI, HIPAA) in IT, network, cloud, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience across INFOSEC, Cybersecurity, Data Security, Network Security, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Security strategy development: collaborate with clients to develop cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps.
• Security controls implementation: design and integrate security tools (SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Security architecture design: design secure systems and cloud environments and assess security controls.
• Project management: lead and manage complex cybersecurity projects, on time and on budget.
• Client relationship management: act as trusted advisor, communicate effectively, address escalations.
• Research and thought leadership: stay updated on trends and contribute to whitepapers and trainings.
